Momos Lunch Meet-Up – 13 August 2016

As many already know, Organic feast Maitland is a haven for many Vegans in the Hunter Valley, many travel far and wide, may that be for organic whole foods or vegan friendly delights. Situated in Organic Feast is “Momos café”, even though Momos isn’t a vegan café, it is extremely vegan friendly. So it was the perfect place for a Hunter Valley Vegans event.

And what a successful event it was, we had about 16 vegan / vegan curious people attend this event. And it was spectacular, not only was the food delicious, but many strong friendships were made at this event. To look back now at the table of many who didn’t know one another, to the relationships of which formed and are flourished is beautiful to see. And as corny as this may sound, that is what Hunter Valley Vegans is all about, Community.

There was a diverse bunch of people from all over the Hunter Valley at this event, and we all learnt a lot about so many different topics, from new youtube bloggers to follow, to various different dietary styles, to what does vegan mean to each individual to “WHAT IS SNAP CHAT!” and of course much more!

I have to say, that the Tofu Laska was a big hit! As well as the key lime pie!

Its confident to say, this event was a sense of fire works for the vegan community… and a joy for the Hunter Valley
